18 May G Day Calgary postponed to 2017
Some of life’s storms can be harder to weather than others, and our biggest dreams and best intentions may not always land where we aim them.
It is in the spirit of this classic life lesson that we share the news that we will be postponing G Day Calgary – originally scheduled for Sunday June 12, 2016 – to a date in 2017 to be announced.
The G Day leadership team wishes to offer our profound gratitude to the amazing team of 50+ local volunteers, organizers and presenters. In particular, we wish to recognize our G Day Calgary Community Leader Madeline Ell, who has worked tirelessly to bring this unique rite of
passage celebration series for tween girls and their parents and other caregivers to her hometown.
We also wish to thank our ticket holders and sponsors, whose payments will be returned promptly.
Finally, we wish to honour the brave spirit of the people of the province of Alberta who are coping with challenges far greater than ours.
We have a very special day planned for the Calgary community, and fully intend to resurrect it when the timing is more favourable. Thank you to everyone who has generously supported us to date; we look forward to sharing the G Day magic with you in 2017!
